It all started in 2010 when Marcus Johnson — a lifelong Austinite — noticed that tourists visiting his city were missing its real soul.
Marcus started leading informal walking tours of his East Austin neighborhood, inviting friends of friends and connecting them to the people and places that made Austin truly special.
Today, we're a team of passionate local experts — historians, chefs, musicians, and nature lovers — each dedicated to showing you a side of Austin that most visitors never see.
